Ullard Church

Just a short drive out the road from Graiguenamanagh is the twelfth-century church at Ullard. The church was reputedly built on the site of an early-Christian seventh-century monastery founded by St. Fiacre, the patron saint of gardeners, taxi drivers, florists and people suffering from haemorrhoids! Ullard is a quiet, peaceful place and the church features a magnificent Romanesque doorway and the graveyard a number of high crosses.
